OHS MUSEUM OPEN HOUSE ~~ SUNDAY, MAY 7 FROM 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. ~~ FREE ADMISSION
The Odenton Historical Center is open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the first Sunday of the month. The museum is located at 1367 Odenton Road, and parking is available.
Learn about the town of Odenton –- its railroads, homes, churches, schools, stores, businesses, and recreational activities –- during the past 150 years. Displays about the Civil War, Pennsylvania Railroad, local baseball legend Babe Phelps, and Nevamar are available. Stroll through 150 years of local history in photographs, objects, and A-V presentations. Explore the 1912 Old Masonic Hall.
At the next open house on May 7, a new display will show early schools in the Odenton area. A window from the town's first school, built on land acquired in 1892 on Odenton Road, frames a photo blowup showing students inside Woodwardville's one-room school in about 1900.
